Comparing college football and basketball to any others sports

is a joke. The difference in budgets is astronomical. Not even comparable. And, honestly, who gives a rats ass. Football is the only cash cow in town. It always will be. And it generates enough revenue to carry all of the other sports and more.

What it does not do is dictate or generate success in the other sports. Gymnastics could sell out every meet but still lose money. It's popularity would have to increase to where it has a gymnasium the size of Sanford with similar revenue deals and support from alumni contributions. So please, football carries every other team, including men's basketball...at just about every school in the nation...or at least at every public, large D1 school.
